Atlanta – Harvey Bennett, 43, of Atlanta, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1988, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Mr. Bennett was employed at Lehn & Fink Corp., Lincoln, many years and later worked in the construction field. He also had owned Harvey’s Café in Atlanta several years and was a 1963 graduate of Atlanta High School.

He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 2708, Lincoln.

He was born Nov. 29, 1944 in Chatham, a son of Harry and Florence Hoffert Bennett.

Surviving are one sister, Marie Galbraith, Chestnut; four brothers, James, Manito; George, Cantrall; Ernest, Buffalo; and Harold, Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, with Mike Sweeney, officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the West Cemetery, Athens.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
