Aaron W. Burk
Services for Aaron W. Burk, 67, of Deming, N.M., a former Caterpillar Tractor Co. employe*, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilton Mirtuary**, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
The Rev. Don Nickerson of Bartonville Christian Church will officiate and burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Mr. Burk died Saturday afternoon at his home, RR 2, Deming, where he had lived since leaving Peoria.
He was employed at Caterpillar for 35 years, retiring in October of 1970. He received a machinists' citation from the Army during World War II while working at Caterpillar.
A Peoria resident 37 years, he was born July 12, 1905 in Cornland, the son of William and Ella Criland Russell***. He was married to Ocal Grace Collins at Clinton Nov. 1, 1925.
Surviving are his widow; one son, Wesley "Neil" Burk of East Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Donna) Ricca of Bartonville; Mrs. Elmar (Lila) Myers of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Maon (Jessie) Miller of Peoria; Mrs. John (Betty) Krattiger of New Hampshire; Mrs. Mae Meader of Bloomington; one brother, James W. "Peck" Burk of Clinton; nine grandchildren; and several nieces of nephews.
