HENRY DONATH

On Tuesday morning at 3 o’clock Henry Donath died at his home on Third Street, after a three week’s illness with typhoid fever. Mr. Donath was a native of Germany, where he was born February 25, 1859. At an early age he immigrated to this country and came to Lincoln in 1883 where he obtained employment at the south shaft, but soon reigned and begun to work in Perdue & Burke’s grocery store. He afterwards became chief clerk in J. W. Burke’s store where he was taken with his fatal illness. The deceased leaves a wife and five small children to mourn his death. The funeral will occur this morning at 9 o’clock from St. Mary’s church with interment in Holy Cross cemetery. (error – St. Mary’s cemetery)
