The death of James Riley Jones, a resident of this city for this pat 70 years, occurred at his home, 516 Fifth street at 8:15 o'clock this morning. He had been in ill health for some time.

Decedent was born Feb. 19, 1847, death occurring at the age of 84 years and one month. His wife preceded him in death by 15 years.

The following children survive: Mrs. Charles Donovan, Albany, Ore.; William Jones, Amanda Katherine Jones, John. Allie, Alvin and Frank Jones, Mrs. Frank Weindorf, and Bert Jones, all of Lincoln. A brother, John H. Jones, also resides in this city.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Goff Funeral Home at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. L. H. Hooe in change. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
