FUNERAL TODAY FOR R. W. JONES

Richard Worley Jones, whose death occurred Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at his home at 516 West Fifth street, was buried this afternoon in Lucas Chapel cemetery. The funeral service took place at one o'clock from the chapel in the Sheeta Home, with Rev. L. H. Hooe of the First Christian church in charge. After the service, the funeral party drove to the cemetery where burial was made and the following served as pallbearers; Fern Seefidt, Herman Heinzel, Paul, Emil, Frank and Donald Shay.

Mr. Jones, a retired farmer, was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, January 17, 1843, and died at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 9 days. He was married in Lincoln, in April 1886 to Miss Mary Charlotte Pierce. Mrs. Jones preceded her husband in death and since than Mr. Jones has resided most of the time with his brothers, Rial and John L. Jones on Fifth street. Mr. Jones was a resident of Illinois for the past 75 years and 63 years of that time was spent in Lincoln.

Mr. Jones was the father of fourteen children, the following nine surviving: Mrs. Wm. Shay, Mrs. Thomas Dyer, Lincoln; James A. Jones, Melby Jones, John H. Jones, Mrs. Charles Hoblit, Mrs. Myrtle Oliver and Roy C. Jones, Chicago, and Mrs. H. R. Smith of Detroit, Mich. He also leaves three brothers, Rial, John L. and W. E. Jones of Lincoln.
