Hazel Loise Liesman, 83, of Locust Grove, Va., formerly of Lincoln Illinois died at 2 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2000 at Culpeper Regional Hospital in Culpeper Va. Most recently she had resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and David Kindred of Locust Grove, Va.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln with Rev. Mark Carnahan and the Rev. A.J. Goldberger officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Holland & Barry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Liesman was a licensed practical nurse at Lincoln Developmental Center for 25 years. She was born March 9, 1917 at Beason IL, a daughter of John and Anna Mariah (Powley) Carlson. She married Glenn George Liesman, March 28, 1937 at Chestnut IL. He died March 19, 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Kindred of Locust Grove, Va.; two sons, Tom Liesman of Newnan, Ga.; and Nik Liesman of Conyers, Ga.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, June Raquet of Decatur; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Carlson of Clinton IL and Pearl Carlson of Livingston, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Newnan Ga., and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln IL. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln IL or Zion Lutheran Church of Newnan, Ga.
