Lake Fork, Ill. - Commodore Mileham, a well known resident of Lake Fork vicinity, and who had spent his entire life in Logan county, passed away at 9:45 o'clock Sunday night, October 13, 1930, at his home 1 1/2 miles west of Lake Fork. He had been bedfast for about six weeks, but his health had been failing for some time. Mr. Mileham was born in the vicinity of Elkhart, Illinois, May 3, 1857, and at the time of his death he was aged 73 years, 5 months and 16 days. He was united in marriage with Mrs. Alice Barton about 35 years ago, and he is survived by his wife, and the following step-children: Mrs. hattie Wolf and Mrs. Minnie Ely, of Detroit, Michigan; Miss Lulu Barton, of Chicago; John Barton, of Mt. Pulaski. He is alsio survived by four brothers - William and Thomas Mileham, of Lake Fork; Henry Mileham, of Clinton; and Walter Mileham, living in Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Etta Cherry, also residing in Iowa.
Funeral services were held in the chapel at Carlyle cemetery, one mile north of Lake Fork, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, October 22, conducted by Rev. Harold Owens, of Buffalo, pastor of the Lake Fork Christian church. Appropriate songs were sung by members of the choir of that church, with accompaniments being played by Miss Flo Handlin. The remains were interred in the Carlyle cemetery. The pall bearers were Elza Oglesby, Elmer Moore, Elmer Ridgeway, W. M. Simons, Albert Phillips, and James Dunn.
