HERBERT RENTSCHLER

Herbert C. Rentschler, 68, of Emden, died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday in St. Francis Hospital at Peoria. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Kumpf officiating. Burial will be in Hartsburg Union cemetery. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Monday. He was born Feb. 5, 1897 in Hartsburg, son of Matthew and Anna Stoll Rentschler. He married Nettie Heinzel Dec. 7, 1931 in Maplewood, Mo. Surviving are his wife; a brother, Fred and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Klockenga and Mrs. Florence Aper, Hartsburg. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hartsburg, and a retired farmer.
