Elmer C. Ruwe, 79, of Main View Manor, Minier, formerly of Lincoln, died at 3:15 a.m. today, Friday, April 18, 1986 at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
He was born Jan. 29, 1907 in Logan, the son of William and Louise Hoffert Ruwe. He married Marie Gluick June 27, 1934 in Lincoln. She died Dec. 12, 1953. He married Lucille Hafley Jan. 1, 1965 in Lincoln. She died Dec. 2, 1968.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Haning, Minier, and Carol Newman, Fort Myers, Fla.; a step-daughter, Katherine Page, Lincoln; a brother, Alfred, Oxford, Ind.; two sisters, Leona Ruff, Strasburg and Edna Fisher, Mason City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Beckman officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Organ Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
