Alma Twardos, 83, of Lincoln died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Twardos retired from Lehn & Fink. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Women of the Moose Chapter 1109, Lincoln Railsplitter REACT and the Logan Railsplitting Association. She also volunteered at St. Clara’s Manor. She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Lincoln, a daughter of Ben and Coletha Seitz Donath. She married John Twardos Jan. 6, 1941, in Lincoln. He died July 20, 1984. Survivors include one daughter, Ruthann Wolpert of Lincoln, one brother, Paul L. Donath of Lincoln; one sister, Edna Miller of Lincoln; two grandsons; one great-grandchild; four step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren. A son, two sisters and a brother also preceded her in death.
